Hearts of Gold: PC MVP February 2026

February is all about celebrating those who lead with kindness, compassion, and selfless care. Our Heart of Gold theme recognizes staff members who make our schools warmer, safer, and more welcoming simply through the way they treat others.

Certified MVP: Donna Altiser
Donna leads with quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering kindness. She builds meaningful relationships with students and colleagues, offering encouragement, support, and a listening ear whenever it’s needed. Through her thoughtful actions, Donna creates a culture of care and belonging that truly reflects a Heart of Gold.

Non-Certified MVP: Valerie Cooper
Valerie greets each day with a smile and extends genuine kindness to every student she encounters. She is quick to offer support, encouragement, and comfort, always putting others first. Her compassion and positive spirit leave a lasting impact on our entire school community.

We would also like to recognize our many Heart of Gold Honorable Mentions. Each of you helps make PC a place where students and staff feel seen, supported, and valued.

Delaney Schnelle: Delaney shows genuine compassion for students’ academic and emotional well-being, stepping beyond her classroom to support anyone in need. Her calming presence and positive outlook uplift both students and staff.

Jamie Phinney: Jamie brings heartfelt care to even the smallest moments, taking time in the car rider line to truly listen and check in with students. Her love and attentiveness never go unnoticed.

Jacquie Tosspon: Jacquie’s joyful spirit and genuine concern for students and staff create a culture of belonging in the high school. She makes everyone feel seen, valued, and welcomed each day.

Samantha Waugh: Sam intentionally builds inclusion and connection, uplifting staff with kindness, humor, and respect. She helps create an elementary environment where everyone feels valued.

Becky Williams: Becky consistently checks in on colleagues during difficult times, offering encouragement and thoughtful support. Her warmth and compassion reflect a true Heart of Gold.

Brook Fleshman: Brook serves as a steady lighthouse for students and staff, offering wisdom, compassion, and a listening ear. Her guidance and care make a lasting impact on countless lives.

Brian Mayer: Coach Mayer pours his heart into supporting students and staff through life’s challenges while holding them to high standards. His motivation and genuine care leave a powerful, lasting influence.

Sarah Sweet: Sarah leads with calm kindness and genuine love for her students. Her listening ear and compassionate teaching create a safe, welcoming classroom.

Shaleigh Lewis: Shaleigh responds to students and families with patience, love, and steady support. Her quiet dedication and heartfelt care truly reflect a Heart of Gold.

Melissa Schmidli: Melissa champions her students’ success, offering extra time, tutoring, and encouragement whenever needed. Her dedication shows how deeply she cares about every learner.

Kathy Rhodes: Kathy supports the district with organization, positivity, and intention. She not only keeps things running smoothly but also brings joy and connection to the entire school community.

Ida Borntrager: Ida greets everyone with a warm smile and willingly steps in to help wherever needed. Her kindness and pride in her work shine daily.

Adrianna Stottlemyre: Adrianna leads with compassion, consistently offering encouragement, support, and respect to students and colleagues. Her empathy and selfless actions model what it means to have a true Heart of Gold.

Craig Salisbury: Craig is always the first to step up and help, checking in on staff and students with genuine care. His willingness to serve without hesitation reflects his deep love for the district.

Michelle Cunningham: Michelle offers not only a listening ear but also a refreshing perspective that helps others find gratitude and hope. Her encouragement can truly turn someone’s day around.

Kate Valentine: Kate shares her creativity, talents, and generous spirit to benefit students and staff alike. She creates a safe, caring environment where children feel valued and supported.

Stephanie Gillum: Stephanie goes beyond her role each day, offering comfort, advocacy, and compassion to students and staff. Her dedication makes our school a healthier, safer, and kinder place.
