Mrs. Ashley Jones, a second-grade teacher at PCR-I, tells us more about her journey to education on this Twosday, February 22, 2022.
Mrs. Jones says, "I have worked with children at church from doing nursery to teaching Sunday School classes and helping with the youth. I felt that God was calling me to work with children at a very young age. Whether that be in ministry or education. I am blessed to say I get to do both."
Ashley graduated from Centerville High School and attended college at Graceland University. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Reading and Special Education. She has worked in education for 12 years. Mrs. Jones served as a paraprofessional before becoming a teacher. We have been lucky to have her here at Putnam County R-I for 6 years and counting.
When Mrs. Jones is away from school, spending time with family and serving at church are her top priorities. She can be found with her husband of 15 years, Joshua, her daughter Hannah, and her son Nathan, enjoying quality time together, from baking to bowling, fort-making, and making memories.
Help us thank, Mrs. Jones, for pouring her heart into teaching. We appreciate you!
