Technology in Special Education

Technology allows a student to be more independent. It can help students choose the speed in which they learn and helps to make their learning plan more personalized. Technology allows instructors more flexibility and a different approach, which can help the students become more successful. Students often get anxiety when learning with a whole group of students and technology can help reduce it. Technology can also provide another way to communicate if there is a verbal barrier. Overall, technology can help the student improve academically and socially. Technology has proved to be vital in special education and allows students to participate in the education process just the same their peers.
