We are getting ready for a fun-filled week celebrating the joy of reading at Putnam County Elementary!
Reading is more than just a school skill — it builds imagination, confidence, vocabulary, and lifelong learners. We can’t wait to see our students show their love for books all week long.

Students are encouraged to participate, but dress-up is always optional. We simply want everyone joining in the fun of celebrating reading!
📚 PTO Sponsored Scholastic Book Fair
We are also excited to host our PTO-sponsored Scholastic Book Fair during Reading Week! This is a wonderful opportunity to help students build their home libraries and get excited about new books.Get ready for one of our favorite elementary traditions—the Scholastic Book Fair is heading to Putnam County Elementary! This is a fun and meaningful opportunity for students to explore books, make choices, and build excitement around reading.

📅 When: Tuesday, February 17 – Friday, February 20
What to expect:
- Tuesday: Students will preview the fair with their class and create a Wish List to bring home
- Wednesday–Friday: Students shop with their class during the school day
- Public Shopping: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30–6:30 PM
