The Scholastic Book Fair is Coming! ✨📚

Get ready for one of our favorite elementary traditions—the Scholastic Book Fair is heading to Putnam County Elementary! This is a fun and meaningful opportunity for students to explore books, make choices, and build excitement around reading.
📍 Where: Elementary Library
📅 When: Tuesday, February 17 – Friday, February 20
What to expect:
  • Tuesday: Students will preview the fair with their class and create a Wish List to bring home
  • Wednesday–Friday: Students shop with their class during the school day
  • Public Shopping: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30–6:30 PM
🏠 Why owning books matters
Having books of their own at home helps children build confidence, increase reading time, and strengthen literacy skills. When families read together—even a few minutes a day—it supports vocabulary growth, comprehension, and a lifelong love of learning. Choosing their own books makes reading even more meaningful for kids.
