September CTE Student of the Month 🌟

Help us celebrate Miss Tayla Turner, our Career and Technical Education Student of the Month! 💙
Nominated by her CTE teachers, Tayla shines in every area—bringing a positive attitude, a can-do spirit, and strong leadership to the classroom and beyond. She collaborates with peers, communicates effectively, and consistently leads by example.
While excelling in her CTE classes and clubs, Tayla also balances academics, athletics, and band—showing exactly what it means to be a well-rounded student leader.
At Putnam County R-I, our CSIP goals and Missouri’s Career and Technical Education standards emphasize preparing students with the real-world skills they need for success. Tayla is proof of those goals in action—future-ready, resilient, and respectful.

Unionville Rotary Club Student of the Month: September 🌟

Congratulations to PCHS Senior, Brody Hurley, on being named the Unionville Rotary Club Student of the Month for September! 💙
Brody was nominated by his teachers for his positive attitude, outstanding work ethic, and willingness to serve others. Whether in the classroom, on a team, or out in the community, Brody is known as a team player who leads with a smile and is always ready to lend a hand.
Mary Comstock, representing the Unionville Rotary Club, presented Brody with his award and noted how impressed she was with his hard work—even when the job was tough, dirty, and required manual labor, Brody never complained.
At Putnam County R-I, our CSIP goals emphasize preparing students to be respectful, responsible, and resilient leaders. Brody is a shining example of those qualities, and we are proud to see him recognized for the difference he makes both in school and in our community.

September Character Education Award – Responsibility 🌟

Join us in celebrating Bowdy Wood, our September Character Education winner for Responsibility! 💙
Nominated by his teachers, Bowdy consistently leads by example—showing what it means to be responsible both in and out of the classroom. While managing dual enrollment courses, he also serves as an officer in academic clubs, leads as a drum major in our Marching Band, and takes on active leadership roles across academics and activities—all while balancing school and work. 👏
At Putnam County R-I, our CSIP goals and Character Education program work hand-in-hand to grow respectful, responsible, and resilient leaders. Bowdy is a shining example of how responsibility builds trust, strengthens teams, and prepares students for future success.

August Character Education Spotlight- Respect 🌟

Help us congratulate PCHS Senior, Diego Lopez, on earning the August 2025 Character Education Award for Respect! 💙
From the classroom to the football field, and everywhere in between, Diego consistently models what it means to treat others with kindness and consideration. He shows respect not only through his words, but also through his actions—leading by example for his peers.

🌟 PCHS Standout – September 🌟
Each month, our high school students vote on a staff member who is making a difference in and out of the classroom. For September, they chose Ms. Donna Altiser—and it’s easy to see why! 💙
Ms. Altiser stepped up in a critical shortage to teach high school science, and our students couldn’t be more grateful. Her classroom is filled with a welcoming atmosphere, positive encouragement, and engaging lessons that make learning come alive.
👏 Congratulations, Ms. Altiser, on being recognized as our PCHS Standout for September! Thank you for inspiring our students and leading with heart.
