Gaming Club Levels Up: Weekly Fun and a Big Win for 6th Grader Conrad Carter

Every Thursday after school, Mr. Hicks's room transforms into a hub of excitement, competition, and camaraderie as students gather for Gaming Club, led by the enthusiastic and ever-supportive Mr. Hicks. Whether you're into classic arcade games, strategic board games, or modern console favorites, there's something for everyone in this lively after-school community.

This past month, the club turned up the heat with a much-anticipated Wii Sports Tournament, drawing students from multiple grades to show off their skills in baseball and tennis.

After several intense rounds and some nail-biting finishes, one gamer stood above the rest: Conrad Carter, a 6th grader with lightning-fast reflexes and an unbeatable spin serve in Wii Tennis.
Conrad’s victory earned him more than just bragging rights—he took home a Mario Kart Lego set, combining his love for gaming and building in one epic prize. “It was awesome,” Conrad said. “I had so much fun, and everyone played really well.”

Wii Sports Tournament is a hit for Gaming Club!

Mr. Hicks shared his thoughts on the tournament: “We started the Gaming Club to give students a fun and safe place to connect and unwind. Watching them cheer each other on and celebrate each other's wins—that’s what it’s all about.”
The Gaming Club continues every Thursday after school, and all students are welcome. Whether you're aiming for a tournament trophy or just want to hang out and play with friends, there’s a spot for you in the game.
