Join Us for Our Annual Veterans Day Assembly on November 11, 2024

Putnam County R-I School District invites you to join us for a meaningful celebration honoring our nation’s veterans at our annual Veterans Day Assembly. This special event will take place on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 9:00 am in the Putnam County High School Gymnasium.
Our students and staff have thoughtfully prepared a program to express our heartfelt gratitude to the men and women who have served our country, and we’d be honored to have you with us. This year’s assembly will include music, readings, and recognitions, all dedicated to honoring those who have sacrificed for our freedoms. Below is the schedule of events:

  • Quilt of Valor Presentation
    Presented by Mrs. Chris Yunick
  • Guest Speaker
    Mrs. Allison Harlan, U.S. Army Veteran
  • “Grand Old Flag/America the Beautiful”
    Performed by the High School Band
  • “A Grateful Nation”
    Performed by Fourth Grade Students
  • Moment of Silence and “Taps”
    Played by Kohner Alexander and Rosalyn Stanley

Please note: We ask that all attendees stand for designated portions of the ceremony. Veterans and their families will be seated on the gym floor.
We’re proud to gather together as a school and community to pay tribute to the brave individuals who have served and continue to serve our country. Join us as we express our gratitude and teach our students the importance of honoring our veterans.
